Richland Development Corporation - Alhambra Highlands Project, Martinez: May & Associates, Inc. conducted plant community and habitat mapping and baseline level surveys for threatened and endangered species in support of the Alhambra Highlands Residential Development Program. Prepared wetland delineations, wetland permit applications, and Biological Assessment documents in support of wetland and endangered species permits and agreements. Assisted with negotiating mitigation for Alameda Whipsnake. (2001 to 2005).
City of Oakley - General Plan Update: May & Associates, Inc. conducted reconnaissance-level plant community and habitat mapping and reconnaissance-level surveys for threatened and endangered species in support of the Oakley 2002 general plan update. May & Associates, Inc. also prepared the biological impact analysis for the general plan update. (2003).
Calaveras County Planning Department, Oak Canyon Ranch: Conducted biological studies in support of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) document for the 1800-acre Oak Canyon Ranch residential/golf course development site, Calaveras County. Subconsultant to Pacific Municipal Consultants. (2000 to 2004).
Sacramento Autoplex Development Site: Conducted biological resource studies in support of an Environmental Impact Report for a proposed commercial autoplex site in Sacramento, CA. Subconsultant to EDAW, Inc. (2000 to 2001).
Pacific Municipal Consultants - Quail Lake, Homesites at Squal Creek, Northstar Village, Retreat (at Northstar), Tuscany Hills, Villa Ticino West, and Don Alejandro Valdez Community Plan Projects: Conducted various surveys (e.g., biological resource surveys for special-status plant and wildlife species, heritage and landmark trees, and aquatic invertebrates) for multiple proposed residential projects. Projects were located in Calaveras, Fresno, Nevada, Placer, and San Joaquin Counties. Prepared habitat mapping, impact assessments and analyses, and proposed mitigation measures for biological sections of EIRs. Subconsultant to Pacific Municipal Consultants. (1998-2004).
San Creek Specific Plan Area - Antioch, CA: Performed biological resource studies in support of a specific plan amendment to the City of Antioch. Conducted biological resource surveys, including wetland delineation studies on 1,400 acres near the City of Antioch, Contra Costa County. The project site encompassed numerous natural communities with several special-status species including California tiger salamander, California red-legged frog, crownscale, Mount Diablo manzanita, Contra Costa manzanita, and Brewer’s dwarf flax. Currently, the project is in the wetland permitting and federal Endangered Species Act permitting phase and negotiations on mitigation are in progress. (1998 to 2003)
